Set up your life list

Connect your eBird sighting history so My Next Lifer can show which species would be new for you. This is a one-time setup — you can update it any time.

1
Go to eBird and request your data
Visit ebird.org/downloadMyData and sign in if needed. Click "Request My Observations" to request your data export.
Open ebird.org/downloadMyData
2
Wait for an email from eBird
eBird emails you a download link — this usually takes 1–3 minutes. Check your inbox and spam folder.
The email comes from donotreply@ebird.org. If you don't see it within 5 minutes, check your spam folder.
3
Download and unzip the file
Click the link in the email to download a .zip file. Unzip it — on Mac, double-click it; on Windows, right-click → "Extract All". Inside you'll find a file called MyEBirdData.csv.
